Why Man United didn’t sign a striker
By Lewis Browning
Business done then at Manchester United, it seems. Three in, but no striker.
Hojlund and Zirkzee have been struggling. Mainoo played there at the weekend. What’s going on?
Well, we can tell you why. But you’ll have to click below to find outAston Villa complete Asensio signing
By Lewis Browning
And there he is!
Signed, sealed, delivered.
Marco Asnesio is an Aston Villa player. Unai Emery has certainly boosted his attack this winter.
Liverpool and Middlesbrough too far apart’
By Lewis Steele
Sounds like Tyler Morton will be staying at Liverpool amid interest from Middlesbrough. The clubs are too far apart on their valuation.
I feel sorry for the lad. He had a great offer on the table in the summer but was asked to stay and has barely played. When is the deadline across Europe?
By Lewis Browning
The windows, believe it or not, close at different times across Europe:
Germany: Closed (7pm)
France: 10pm
England: 11pm
Spain: 11pm
Italy: 11pm
All times GMT. Makes so much sense. But 11pm is essentially the target we are looking at for the most part.
More on Asensio
By Lewis Browning
Aston Villa have confirmed that Asensio has joined on loan from PSG until the end of the season.
With 38 caps for Spain, he is comfortable in pretty much any forward area, but plays best behiind the striker.
Villa have some serious depth now. They have Watkins, Rashford, Asensio, Malen, Rogers, Bailey, Tielemans, Ramsey…
Seriously impressive stuff.
Disasi to Tottenham is back OFF’
By Sami Mokbel
It was on, then it was off, then it was on… now it’s off again.
Axel Disasi will not be joining Tottenham today, despite the injury to Dragusin.
Whether that means he’ll go elsewhere, we don’t know, but it won’t be a move across London.Chukwuemeka leaves Chelsea
By Lewis Browning
One man who is leaving Chelsea, however, is Carney Chukwuemeka.
The midfielder has moved on loan to Borussia Dortmund until the end of the season. It’s never really worked out for him at the Blues – but now he will have the chance to show his stuff in Germany. They got the move over the line.
‘He will now continue his development in the Bundesliga with Dortmund and we look forward to supporting Carney during his loan,’ Chelsea say.Middlesborough FC

Nigerian international Kelechi Iheanacho has joined the club on loan until the end of the season.
The former Manchester City and Leicester City marksman joins from La Liga side Sevilla.
The 28-year-old brings a wealth of experience, having played at the highest level.

He started out at Man City as an 18-year-old where he was a League Cup winner before joining Leicester in 2017.
The forward was a promotion winner with Leicester last season before joining Sevilla during the summer. He has three goals from 11 appearances in Spain.
