He’s The Main Threat” Graham Potter Named Chelsea Man That Caused Problem For Westham

Chelsea fought back from a 1-0 deficit to secure a 2-1 victory over West Ham at Stamford Bridge on Monday night.

It wasn’t the Blues’ most impressive display of the season, but no one connected to the club will be concerned about that.

Meanwhile, former Chelsea boss Graham Potter made his first return to Stamford Bridge since being dismissed in 2023.

Potter and his West Ham side were unable to outplay Chelsea, suffering a 2-1 defeat despite holding a 1-0 lead at halftime.

Additionally, Potter identified the Chelsea player who posed the greatest challenge for his team, selecting Enzo Fernandez as the standout performer.

The English coach highlighted his admiration for the World Cup winner’s positioning on the pitch.

“He’s the biggest threat, and he has the midfield locked in his favor… He’s a great player and yet to unleash his potential,” Graham Potter stated in an interview with Footyvalid reporters.

Enzo Fernandez was Chelsea’s key player in the first half when the hosts struggled to gain control of the match. He continued to impress as the Blues dominated after the break.

Enzo Maresca has leaned heavily on Fernandez and Moises Caicedo this season, but the South American duo are set to receive additional support from 19-year-old Mathis Amougou. Amougou is expected to complete a move from Saint-Etienne to strengthen Chelsea’s midfield options.
