FeaturedLiverpool and Arne Slot have already given David Hancko answer amid new transfer links

Feyenoord defender David Hancko is once again being linked with Liverpool.
Liverpool has been repeatedly associated with a move for Hancko, and fresh reports this week suggest that interest remains. The Slovakia international, who previously played under Arne Slot at the Eredivisie club, has long been rumored as a potential target for Anfield.
CaughtOffside reports that Hancko is on the radar of Liverpool’s recruitment team, with Chelsea, Tottenham, Bayern Munich, and Juventus also showing interest in the 27-year-old ahead of the summer transfer window. The Reds are said to be ‘closely monitoring’ Hancko, but ‘the player himself has yet to make any kind of a decision over his future.’
It is also suggested that Liverpool’s move for Hancko could depend on whether Virgil van Dijk remains at Anfield, as the Dutch centre-back’s contract is set to expire in the summer. Negotiations over a new deal are believed to be ongoing, with the club optimistic about securing their captain’s future before his contract runs out.
Atletico Madrid made a strong push for Hancko last summer, submitting two bids that were ultimately rejected after failing to meet Feyenoord’s £33m asking price. With his contract running until 2028, the Dutch club remains in a strong position regarding any potential transfer fee.
Liverpool head coach Arne Slot was questioned last week about the club’s inactivity in the January transfer window, to which he responded: “At the moment there is not a reason to add something to the team unless you have a chance in the market. That’s something we saw last time with the goalkeeper we brought in (Giorgi Mamardashvili) as we saw there was a chance in the market. For now, we are happy with the team we have.”
