After the semi-finals of the cup … the legend of Barcelona Andres Inista makes a sharp criticism of the German coach because of his first major mistake in Barcelona

Commenting on the Spanish King’s semi-finals match between Barcelona and Attico Madrid, which ended in a 4-4 draw, the Spanish football legend Andres Enista spoke of many technical points related to the performance of the Catalan team under the leadership of coach Hansi Flick. Eniesta’s statements came on Radio Catalonia, where he discussed the most prominent thing that happened in the match, referring to some tactical decisions that sparked controversy among the team’s fans.
Eniesta began his speech by highlighting the strange situation for young player Mark Casado, who indicated that he had basically only started once in the last 6 games despite his remarkable performance in the only match he started, which was against Las Palmas. Inista confirmed that Casado’s performance was outstanding, but this did not qualify him to participate in the Atltico Madrid match, not as a basic nor even as an alternative. Eniesta said: “The match against Atltico was perfect for Casado in the second half, as the team was under great pressure. In such situations, there is no better player than Casado on the team ”.
Eniesta explained that Flick was expected to involve Casado in the second half of providing support in the middle of the field after the team level declined, but he kept Frenki de Young, despite his modest performance in the match. He pointed out that the most surprising change was the replacement of Pedri, who was one of the most daring players and caused a lot of offensive effectiveness. Enista Flick demanded that Gavi be excluded from the basic squad, stressing that the current player level is not commensurate with the extent that Barcelona seeks to reach this season. He said: “I have great respect for Gavi, but his primary participation at this level will be a curse on the team season ”.
Eniesta indicated that Barcelona could not take advantage of the decisive moments, especially in the last minutes of the match, as the team was in a state of defensive chaos. Eniesta said: “There would have been a greater chance for Barcelona if they maintained their defensive organization, but rushing to attack and leaving space for Atltico Madrid made things deteriorate in the end ”.
Enista did not hesitate to express his opinion on Flick’s tactical decisions, as he stressed the need to return to a more balanced formation. He stated that, given the modest level of some players on the team, it is necessary for Flick to adjust some of his choices, such as engaging Mark Casado more. In his view, Flick should give more opportunities to players who have demonstrated their potential in previous matches, rather than continuing to rely on the same combination in light of the fluctuating results.
