Joshua Kimmich has become one of the hottest names in the transfer market, with the Bayern Munich star just months away from becoming a free agent.
Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly made an offer to sign the German midfielder on a free transfer this summer, while Liverpool and Arsenal have also been linked with interest in securing his signature.
Speculation around Kimmich’s future has intensified this week, particularly surrounding Bayern’s Champions League last-16 tie against Bayer Leverkusen. This comes as the midfielder returns from a thigh injury that sidelined him for their weekend clash against his former club, Stuttgart.
Kimmich Contract Update
Bayern Munich and Kimmich have reportedly resumed negotiations over a contract extension. Sky Sports Germany states that both parties are open to a renewal and are working towards finalizing an agreement.
Following Bayern’s midweek match, Kimmich had claimed, “the ball is not in my court,” but it now seems the situation has shifted. He also mentioned that his initial plan was to sort out his future before the international break, and that timeline may once again be a possibility.
Although Bayern had previously withdrawn their contract offer, reports suggest it is now back on the table.
