Vinicius Jr. has placed a €25 million net annual salary condition on his contract extension, asserting that if Madrid cannot meet that figure, there will be no deal, according to Cadena SER reports.

Currently earning approximately €15 million net per season in a contract that runs until 2027, Vinicius believes he is worth a lot more, regardless of what anyone else earns in the squad, including Kylian Mbappe.

If Real Madrid meets Vini’s demands, he will overtake Mbappe’s earnings and become Real Madrid’s highest-paid player.

Negotiations have reportedly stalled due to Madrid’s strict wage structure, which limits salaries to the current threshold to maintain internal balance.

For now, Madrid are not inclined to negotiate a contract exceeding current policies. While Vinícius has so far resisted offers from Saudi Arabia and insists he wants to stay.

Other sources claim that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez will enter the negotiation himself to block the impasse, but that can only happen when Vini returns from holiday in August.

However, Vini’s performances next season will have a big say on whether Real Madrid agrees to what he’s asking or let him go for the greater good
