Following Liverpool’s rejected £110 million offer for Alexander Isak, reports have surfaced of a surprise club entering the race for the Newcastle striker.

The Swedish forward, who has been at the center of intense transfer speculation, became the subject of Liverpool’s official bid on Friday after weeks of buildup. The offer—part of Liverpool’s major summer spree that already includes signings like Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, Giorgi Mamardashvili, Armin Pecsi, and Hugo Ekitike—was promptly rejected by Newcastle.

Despite Isak’s clear desire to leave, Newcastle remain hopeful they can persuade him to stay at St. James’ Park. In the aftermath of the failed bid, multiple outlets reported that Liverpool have no intention of increasing their offer and may walk away from negotiations.

In a twist, Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg has revealed that Manchester United have now entered the fray, having made an unexpected enquiry about the Swedish international. However, their approach was swiftly dismissed by Isak, who is reportedly only interested in joining Liverpool, the reigning Premier League champions.
