The manager has confirmed that a star player could potentially join Liverpool next week.

Liverpool may be on the verge of signing another star player next week, according to the current manager of the player.

As the transfer window approaches its end, Liverpool is actively seeking at least one more significant signing. They have already made several acquisitions, of course.

Florain Wirtz, Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong, and Hugo Ekitiké are now part of the Liverpool squad.

These signings have come at a substantial cost, with Wirtz setting a new club record for transfers.

However, the Reds are not finished yet. They still have some gaps to fill, particularly in the forward position.

Ekitiké is currently the only striker available in the squad. Everyone at Liverpool is hopeful that Alexander Isak will join to enhance their attacking options, but he is not the only target on their list.

The Reds believe they can secure a deal for Marc Guehi, but only if the price is right. With just one year remaining on his contract, this situation opens the possibility for a bargain deal.

Oliver Glasner comments on Marc Guehi

On Thursday, Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner was questioned about Guehi, and he also addressed the future of his captain.

“If Marc wishes to sign a new contract, he can remain with us,” he stated, as reported by the Guardian. “If he opts not to sign, we will need to reassess our options.

“It’s a challenging situation. Every club like ours, especially those competing in Europe, faces stricter financial regulations compared to the Premier League. The rules are indeed much tighter.

“Every club must sell players to comply with these regulations. This is a situation we will need to evaluate in the next 11 days.”

Palace chairman Steve Parish has already acknowledged their inclination to sell Guehi while they can still secure a fee. Glasner is now confirming that they are very close to making that decision.

According to nearly all reports, it would be Liverpool who ultimately acquires him. The BBC has stated that Guehi is ‘likely to join Liverpool’, in fact.
