🥅🏟️Alisson Becker forced off with injury as Liverpool given major headache

Liverpool have been handed an injury scare after Alisson Becker was forced off injured in their Champions League clash with Galatasaray. The Brazilian was replaced after 56 minutes with Giorgi Mamardashvili coming on in his place.
The 32-year-old received lengthy treatment after appearing to injure himself when saving from Victor Osimhen one-on-one, before being withdrawn.
Alisson had been enjoying another busy night for Liverpool, and had made three saves prior to picking up his injury. However, he could was unable to keep out Osimhen’s 16th minute penalty that had given Galatasaray the lead.

The Reds will now be sweating over the fitness of their first-choice goalkeeper ahead of Saturday’s trip to Chelsea.
Mamardashvili was handed his Champions League debut for the club after coming on to replace Alisson in Istanbul, and is now on standby to make his maiden Premier League appearance at Stamford Bridge.
The Georgian joined the Reds in a £29m move from Valencia earlier this year, after Liverpool agreed a deal with the La Liga outfit last summer.

Alisson has been troubled by a number of injuries during his Reds career, and missed 17 matches due to enforced issues last season.
The 32-year-old, who is under-contract at Anfield until 2027, is Liverpool’s undisputed first-choice goalkeeper despite such issues, with any spell on the sidelines an unwanted blow for Arne Slot.
The Reds underwent a number of changes in their goalkeeping department this summer as long-serving number two Caoimhin Kellher joined Brentford in a deal worth up to £18m and Vitezslav Jaros signed for Ajax on loan.
Alongside Mamardashvili, Liverpool also signed Freddie Woodman and Armin Pecsi.
