Man Utd Fans Put Blame on One Player After West Ham Draw
Manchester United fans have been reacting on social media after the Red Devils were held by West Ham United.
On Thursday night, United welcomed West Ham to Old Trafford as the Red Devils looked to make it back-to-back victories in the Premier League.
Last weekend, Ruben Amorim’s men bounced back from their 1-0 defeat against Everton by beating Crystal Palace 2-1 at Selhurst Park.
Meanwhile, the Hammers’ woes continued at the London Stadium as they were beaten 2-0 by reigning champions Liverpool.
In front of a packed crowd at Old Trafford, both teams generated minimal chances during what was a cagey first half.
In the second period, United pushed for the opening goal and they were rewarded in the 58th minute, with full-back Diogo Dalot scoring inside the penalty area.
West Ham then stunned Old Trafford into utter silence as Soungoutou Magassa netted to make it 1-1 in the 84th minute.
Eventually, the Hammers held on to secure a vital point as United fans were left disappointed once again.
Taking to social media, United fans slammed Amorim’s decision to bring on Manuel Ugarte, who entered the field to replace Matheus Cunha with 77 minutes on the clock.
One fan said: “Every time Ugarte comes on we concede…..”
Another tweeted: “Ugarte comes on and ruins us.”
A third fan added: “It feels as though any time Ugarte is brought on late in to a game, we concede.”
Someone else wrote: “The fact Ugarte was subbed on ahead of Mainoo again in a game like this should be enough to sack him.”
A fifth commented: “Ugarte on, 10mins and we concede. Nothing new here.”
Another fan said: “Ugarte comes on the pitch and we lose any semblance of control. When will he learn?”
Speaking on Sky Sports, former United man Gary Neville also questioned Amorim’s substitutions.
He said: “When you’re 1-0 up and you let a game drift you’re never really safe. That’s what has happened. Amorim’s substitutions were intended to see this game out…”
United are back in Premier League action next week when they take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux on Monday night.

Ruben Amorim isn’t a baby coach so he should have known best not to start this player against Liverpool, you’ve tried him enough and he’s not giving any good results just get him replaced already, at first I thought it was Marcus Rashford causing the problems but I guess I’m wrong…keep starting him and he’ll get you sacked sooner than expected!” sports pundit Gary Neville speaks on Manchester United Player’s performance against Liverpool today
