After some encouraging signs during the pre-season, Ansu Fati’s season appears to have faltered.

Although he was expected to excel under Hansi Flick, the forward has struggled to earn a spot in Barcelona’s starting eleven, despite being back from injury.

Currently, he is behind players like Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, Ferran Torres, and Fermin Lopez in the team’s lineup, leading to concerns about his future.

Jose Mourinho is interested in signing Fati in January.

AS reports that Fenerbahce has emerged as a possible destination for Ansu Fati in the upcoming January transfer window.

José Mourinho, the former Real Madrid coach now managing Fenerbahce, is looking to enhance his attacking options, with Fati among his primary targets.

Mourinho’s interest in Fati isn’t new; he previously attempted to persuade the player to join him. This time, he feels confident that Fenerbahce can secure the Barcelona forward.

Fenerbahce’s interest appears serious, and sporting director Mario Branco is expected to contact Fati’s agent soon.

While a permanent transfer in January seems unlikely, Barcelona may consider a loan move for the forward, especially as they are becoming increasingly worried about his falling market value. A loan in Istanbul could offer Fati a chance to revitalize his career.

However, Fenerbahce isn’t the only club eyeing Fati; Sevilla, a top La Liga team, is also interested. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for him this January
