Laporta brings a pleasant surprise to Barcelona fans: We have enough to sign this legendary player
Barcelona president Joan Laporta has delivered positive news to Blaugrana fans worldwide regarding the club’s financial situation. Laporta confirmed that Barcelona is now in a stronger economic position and will soon be able to make signings as needed.
In an interview with *Sport*, Laporta said, “Institutional stability will allow us to send a message of strength to the players. We will sign players for sporting reasons only.” He emphasized the club’s improved capacity to sign players, stating, “We will be able to sign whoever we want, as long as they have the desire to come.”
Addressing the rumors surrounding Erling Haaland, Laporta revealed, “We are interested in signing him, and we’ve received a positive response from the player. We have the capability to bring him to Camp Nou in the summer of 2025. For us, everything is possible because we have once again become a reference in world football.” He also mentioned that Haaland is open to joining Barcelona and becoming the face of the club after its transformation.
Laporta highlighted the club’s financial recovery, noting that La Liga had congratulated Barcelona for their efforts in reducing losses. He stated, “We will reach the desired state, but this success won’t come without effort; we must work hard.” He concluded by sharing that Barcelona has achieved a 41% increase in income and a 22% reduction in spending, positioning the club to once again compete at the highest level.
