Former Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has revealed a “refreshing” difference between new manager Arne Slot and his predecessor Jurgen Klopp, following the Reds’ 2-1 victory over Chelsea at Anfield. Curtis Jones’ second-half winner sent Liverpool back to the top of the Premier League, one point ahead of Manchester City.
While Klopp was known for his intense demands, Sturridge pointed out that Slot’s approach, such as allowing players to stay at home the day before games, has been embraced by the squad. Slot’s calm and composed demeanor on the touchline, despite receiving a yellow card on Sunday, has earned him admiration from both players and fans.
As Liverpool continue their strong start under Slot, their next challenge comes with a trip to the Emirates to face Arsenal.
