💎🔥Man Utd’s asking price for Marcus Rashford revealed and fans can’t believe what they’re hoping to get
Three major European clubs are reportedly “interested” in signing Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, but fans have been left surprised by the Red Devils’ valuation of the player.
Rashford, now 27, has been linked with a departure from the club after seemingly falling out of favor with head coach Ruben Amorim.
Amorim, 39, excluded Rashford from four consecutive matchday squads for fixtures against Manchester City, Spurs, Bournemouth, and Wolves. Rashford returned to the bench during United’s 2-0 loss to Newcastle on December 30 but was left out again for the 2-2 draw against Liverpool at Anfield, with Amorim citing the player being “ill” as the reason.
It has since been reported that AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund, and Juventus are keen on acquiring Rashford, either on loan or permanently, during the January transfer window.
A respected journalist has now disclosed the price Manchester United would demand to sanction the deal.
Ben Jacobs of GiveMeSport shared the update on X, writing:
*”Manchester United are aware Marcus Rashford’s brother and agent, Dwaine Maynard, is holding talks with Milan. Dortmund and Juventus also interested, and Rashford’s representatives are expected to engage with clubs.
“Rashford has already turned down Saudi. Rashford open to playing abroad, but staying at MUFC has not been entirely discounted.
“Manchester United are prepared to sanction a straight loan or loan with option, while a permanent solution would require £40m+. Rashford is understood to still be in Thomas Tuchel’s plans.”*
Fans on social media quickly shared their reactions to the valuation and transfer possibilities.
One fan wrote: “I can’t see any clubs in Europe paying £40 million in January. The loan or obligation to buy makes more sense. We’d be more likely to secure £40 million+ in the summer if the loan move goes well.”
Another remarked: “This will be a regret just like other players we have let go who have thrived in other clubs. Our club and fans are so toxic it is unbelievable.”
A third commented: “Rashford loan or £40m+ permanent transfer possible.”
Meanwhile, a fourth added: “Needs to be a loan with an obligation to buy if we can’t sell him this window. His story needs to be over at United once & for all. Don’t wanna se
e him back next summer.”
