Real Madrid are poised to intensify their efforts to secure Kylian Mbappe this month, with further reports on their offer to the French forward emerging. The 25-year-old is nearing the end of his contract, and Los Blancos are frontrunners to lure Mbappe away from Paris Saint-Germain this year. PSG has yet to make an offer, waiting for Mbappe’s decision on staying in France. Meanwhile, reports from Spain suggest Mbappe understands that Real Madrid won’t break the bank for him, aiming for a salary closer to Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior’s.

According to Cadena Cope, there’s a slight twist in that offer. While their offer includes a base salary of around €15m per annum, they not only offer him a €60m signing bonus but also compromise on their image rights. Image rights can be worth tens of millions per year, typically retained by Real Madrid. However, Cope reports they’re willing to give Mbappe 60% of those rights. During the 2022 Mbappe saga, image rights were a key part of discussions, with Mbappe eager to innovate in that regard. The now France captain withheld his consent to relinquish his image rights to the French Football Federation for multiple years, preventing them from using their most marketable asset in their marketing efforts.
