Curtis Jones has been a standout performer for Liverpool so far this season and previously claimed heâs never been happier on a football pitch than under Arne Slot
Curtis Jones says he feels wanted at Liverpool under Arne Slot after struggling to break through under former boss Jurgen Klopp.
The 23-year-old midfielder has been in fine form for the Reds, starting 10 out of their 19 Premier League matches and chipping in with three goals, bringing a sense of serenity to the teamâs core.
âI was talking to him [Jones] about whatâs the difference for him this season,â he revealed. âHe said: âI just feel like Iâve got a manager who is actually seeing me for what Iâm good at and for what I am.’â This alleged revelation echoes Jonesâ earlier sentiments about finding joy in the Dutchmanâs playing style.
Following his Three Lions call-up in November, Jones expressed his excitement about the new chapter at Liverpool post-Klopp and how his game was adapting to it.
âI feel that Iâm at the point now where Iâm enjoying it the most that I have,â he shared. âI say that in terms of style of play that suits me and the love that Iâm getting from the coaches and the staff all around. Arne and his staff have come in, and the style of play and everything is changing â the way we go, press, and stuff.
âI think it suits me more. As a fresh start Iâll give it everything I can. Iâm really enjoying it and the most important thing is that Iâm playing with a smile on my face.â
âBut Jurgen knows Iâd never be that kid. He knows how much I love him and that I love all of his staff. But it was just me saying that how Iâm going to play now is a little bit of a change.
âHe gave me the platform and belief in myself to know that Iâm a kid who can step up as well. How many games have I played? Itâs all because of him. There were times I was being told âhe needs to go out on loan or leave the clubâ, but he was the man who stuck there the whole time.â

It will be amazing if he joins me here at Stamford Bridge. Even though it seems highly unlikely, it wonât kill me to try to convince him to join me here. I would very much love it if he joins meâ â This is according to Cole Palmer as he has weighed in on the speculation surrounding Kobbie Mainooâs potential move to Chelsea. The young midfielder has been the subject of transfer rumors, and Palmerâs reaction has added fuel to the ongoing discussions.
