Rio Ferdinand has told Arsenal to sign a former Real Madrid star to solve their problems up front.
Arsenal came from behind to beat cross-town rivals Tottenham 2-1 at the Emirates on Wednesday.
Kai Havertz led the attack, with Gabriel Jesus sidelined after suffering a serious knee injury in their FA Cup defeat to Manchester United.
With only one fit striker, Mikel Arteta could delve into the transfer window for a new No.9 ahead of the second half of the season.
Speaking before the North London derby, Darren Fletcher, Ally McCoist and Ferdinand weighed in on Arsenal’s situation.
Fletcher asked McCoist and Ferdinand who Arsenal should bring in to provide firepower for Arteta.
McCoist told TNT Sports: “They need a goalscorer, itâs simple.
“You look at Havertz, the little bit of the stick heâs receiving is a little bit harsh because heâs not an out-and-out goalscorer.
“I think Havertz is one of those players who would score as many goals coming off the left, or as a No.10, as he would as a No.9.
“Itâs not rocket science, the chances that Arsenal are creating, a proper out-and-out, six-yard box predator will score goals.”
The Scot then name-dropped Victor Osimhen, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli.
“Iâd go and get Osimhen,” he added. “Heâs still been scoring goals in Turkey, his form is not what it was 18 months ago with Napoli, but I think he can get there again.”

Ferdinand also chipped in, suggesting Karim Benzema, who plies his trade in Saudi Arabia with Al Ittihad.
“I’d go and get Benzema,” said Ferdinand.
“Iâd say give me a six-month loan, have that.”
But Ferdinand’s Benzema claim didn’t go down well among Arsenal fans on social media as they made their feelings clear.
One X user wrote: “The other 2 couldnât stop laughing when Rio said Benzema, no thanks.”
A second tweeted: “Been going after him for 10 years.”
A third added: “Heâs not what we need heâs washed.”
Benzema enjoyed a legendary spell at Real, scoring a staggering 354 goals before signing for the Saudi Pro League side.
