LIVERPOOL
BREAKING NEWS: Liverpool want to bring big money star player at Anfield for Arne Slot. The news has been confirmed by Fabrizio Romano.

Liverpool have reportedly dispatched scouts to monitor a highly-regarded Bundesliga winger, according to a reliable source.
Earlier this month, Fabrizio Romano revealed the Reds’ interest in Borussia Dortmund forward Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, a player also on Chelsea’s radar. Both Premier League clubs seem eager to bring the England under-21 star back to English football.
Providing an update on the 20-year-old, Romano shared on X that Chelsea made a formal inquiry about the player last week, while Liverpool have been keeping a close eye on his performances throughout the season. Despite the interest, Dortmund are expected to hold on to Bynoe-Gittens during the January window. Romano wrote: “Chelsea made a formal enquiry for Jamie Bynoe-Gittens last week, while Liverpool also sent their scouts several times to follow his progress this season. Borussia Dortmund expect JBG to stay in January; meanwhile, top English clubs have started to make their moves.”
What Could Bynoe-Gittens Bring to Liverpool?
Despite Borussia Dortmund’s domestic struggles—highlighted by their recent third consecutive defeat, leaving them 10th in the Bundesliga—Bynoe-Gittens has been a standout performer. The winger has scored 11 goals in 26 appearances this season, offering a rare bright spot in a difficult campaign for the German club.
German tabloid Bild referred to him as a ‘goldjunge’ (golden boy) following his stellar display against Bayern Munich in late November. Meanwhile, his coach, former Liverpool midfielder Nuri Sahin, praised his ability in one-on-one situations and described him as “a very good finisher” (Bundesliga.com).
A player profile in The Athletic emphasized his exciting potential, citing “his beguiling skill, two-footed finishing, and blazing speed” as standout attributes.
However, if signed, Bynoe-Gittens might face stiff competition for playing time on the left wing at Anfield. Arne Slot has primarily deployed Cody Gakpo in that role, with Luis Díaz occasionally used as a central striker. Some underwhelming performances from Díaz in that position might open the door for experimentation, but the left-wing slot remains competitive.
While Liverpool may have more pressing areas to strengthen in the transfer market, Bynoe-Gittens’ talent justifies the multiple scouting trips. If he stays with Dortmund beyond January, his name is likely to remain prominent in transfer rumors throughout 2025.
