RODRY-GO’ Liverpool secures Real Madrid’s Rodrygo GEM

Liverpool has set its sights on winger Rodrygo, with reports indicating that the 20-year-old Brazilian is a ‘top target’ for the Merseyside team. According to the Catalan newspaper *El Nacional*, Liverpool is reportedly willing to pay £68 million to secure his services.

The Reds previously attempted to sign Rodrygo from Santos when he was just 17 years old, but the talented forward chose to move to Real Madrid for £40 million in 2019. Since joining Los Blancos, Rodrygo has established himself as a key player, winning La Liga in his first season and making headlines by scoring in his debut within just a minute. His remarkable performance, including a Champions League hat-trick against Galatasaray, earned him rave reviews from the Spanish media, who described him as a gift ‘fallen from the sky.

Despite Liverpool’s previous bid of £51 million being rejected last summer, the club remains intent on bringing Rodrygo to Anfield. Currently, Liverpool is in excellent form, having won seven consecutive games across all competitions and sitting second in the Premier League, just one point behind leaders Manchester City.
With the January transfer window approaching, Liverpool is preparing to strengthen their squad to enhance their title challenge. The potential signing of Rodrygo could be a significant boost to Jurgen Klopp’s team as they aim for success this season.
