According to information from the Spanish newspaper “Defensa Central,” Real Madrid will continue to rely on the trio of Kylian Mbappé, Vinicius Junior, and Rodrygo Goes, supported by Jude Bellingham, at least for the time being.
Although Rodrygo is currently in better form than Vinicius, the club accepts this situation and is aware that the former Santos player could be the “victim” if the team decides to play with four midfielders.
A source within the club confirmed: “At the moment, he is number 10, and he can definitely be a starter.”
Ancelotti also acknowledged this in his press conference, where he praised the Brazilian forward following his impressive performance against Red Bull Salzburg, indicating that his contribution will be crucial in the second half of the season and in the pursuit of goals. “He scores in every game and helps us a lot. The quality we have in attack thanks to Mbappé, Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, Bellingham, Brahim, and Valverde makes it a perfect combination. We enjoy playing like this, and we will enjoy it even more when the team improves defensively,” the Real Madrid coach told reporters in the press room at the Santiago Bernabéu.
