Chelsea are considering summer move for 24-year old Serie A striker

Reports suggest that Chelsea are considering a potential summer transfer move for Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic.

Despite signing Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku in the summer, Chelsea was connected to strikers during the previous transfer window.

The Blues’ league standing indicates that they have had trouble scoring goals this season. Following their loss at home to Wolves at Stamford Bridge, they are currently ranked eleventh in the Premier League.

Chelsea will look to upgrade at the end of the current campaign, and Fichajes reports that the Blues could target Vlahovic from Juventus.

The Serbian has been back to his scoring ways over the last few weeks, and the Spanish source suggests that Juventus might be persuaded to sell for a fee of £68 million.

Atletico Madrid and Chelsea have him marked as a “big target,” so this summer, the attacker will have to make a difficult choice between the two.

Chelsea allowed Armando Broja to sign a one-year loan agreement with Fulham, their West London neighbours, rather than increasing their offensive options.

It is expected that the Blues will recruit a new striker prior to the 2024–2025 season, however it is not certain that Broja will remain at Stamford Bridge in the long run.

Ivan Toney of Brentford and Victor Osimhen of Napoli are two other players whose names are being connected to Chelsea.

The Napoli star’s contract now includes a £111 million release clause, which must be triggered for the Italian team to allow him to leave. This season, the 25-year-old has battled injuries. Therefore, Vlahovic would be a stronger target for Chelsea than the Nigerian star in the forthcoming transfer window.
