Liverpool is reportedly looking into the option of involving Federico Chiesa in a potential deal with Inter Milan to improve their chances of signing Marcus Thuram.

Reports suggest that Liverpool is considering offering Federico Chiesa to Inter Milan as part of their pursuit of Marcus Thuram.

Although Thuram is a key target, he is not the only player Liverpool is evaluating.

With the January transfer window now open, speculation is growing, particularly concerning Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold, whose contract is set to run out at the end of the season.

Reports suggest that Liverpool is determined to secure Marcus Thuram and is preparing to submit a formal approach for the French striker.

According to Teamtalk, Liverpool has shown strong interest in Thuram, who has been delivering standout performances in Serie A.

The forward has made a significant impact at Inter Milan, scoring 12 goals and registering three assists in the league this season, establishing himself as a key player with several impressive goals.

To emphasize his progress this season, Thuram has played in half the number of matches compared to the previous season but is just one goal away from matching his total for the 2023/24 campaign.

It is worth noting that Thuram’s release clause, set before his recent outstanding form, stands at approximately £70 million.

However, Inter Milan is willing to negotiate and may accept a lower offer for the player. Liverpool has reportedly assessed this valuation and considers it reasonable.

This marks the first step: Liverpool believes that pursuing this deal is a viable move, and now they await further updates.

Thuram is not the only player on Liverpool’s radar, as Teamtalk also reports that Alexander Isak is another potential target.

Liverpool had previously expressed interest in Isak before his move from Real Sociedad to Newcastle United.

His impressive displays this season have reignited Liverpool’s interest, but his valuation has significantly increased since joining Newcastle, making negotiations more difficult for Liverpool.
