Following Liverpool’s victory against Burnley yesterday, Jurgen Klopp was seen doing something completely different in front of the Anfield fans.

Liverpool defeated Burnley 3-1 Thursday afternoon, bouncing back from their loss to Arsenal the previous week.

The Reds didn’t have an easy game, but they managed to win thanks to some outstanding goalkeeping from Caoimhin Kelleher.

But even with certain shortcomings in the performance, Jurgen Klopp looked pleased with his team’s effort when the game was over.

Journalist James Pearce on X saw Klopp attempt something new following the final whistle. Jurgen turned and gave the Anfield Road stand and the main stand the identical treatment, in addition to his customary three fist pumps in front of the Kop.

It’s evident that Jurgen is attempting to savour every second of his remaining days as Liverpool’s manager. He doesn’t have many more of these afternoons at Anfield left.

The 56-year-old didn’t appear to have the opportunity to celebrate a victory in front of his supporters at points during the day.

Burnley was superior to Liverpool for far too much of the game. With the ball, the Clarets displayed courage and energy, causing the Reds a great deal of trouble.

If David Datro Fofana had been in full shooting mode, the result might have been a tie or even worse.

That would have been intolerable with Manchester City defeating Everton to go up to a point above Liverpool prior to today’s kickoff.

Fortunately, the Reds barely managed to muster enough points to secure the three points. They head back to the top.

Klopp will undoubtedly be aware of the issues his team caused today. With only 14 games remaining in the league season and so many players out, perhaps he will ignore it.

Perhaps Liverpool would gain more from maintaining the positive momentum instead. Following the club’s loss to Arsenal last week, there was a pall over the organisation. Nevertheless, it was crucial that that be eliminated today.

The Reds now have a week off before their challenging journey to Brentford on Saturday lunchtime. Jurgen, have fun with it. Take it all in.
