Plymouth defender drops x-rated comment live on ITV after knocking Liverpool out of the FA Cup

ITV were forced to apologise for some colourful language after Plymouth Argyle produced a stunning upset to knock Liverpool out of the FA Cup on Sunday.
The Devon outfit, currently bottom of the Championship, beat Premier League side Brentford away from home in the fourth round and went one better by beating the best team in England and Europe at Home Park.
Ryan Hardie scored the only goal of the game from the spot at the start of the second half, after Harvey Elliott handled the ball in the box.
The Pilgrims defended for their lives to record the famous win, with new signing Nikola Katic rightly named Man of the Match after a sensational display at the heart of their backline.
He produced a ridiculous 17 clearances and even lost his tooth early into the tie.
The centre-back, a recent signing on loan from Zurich, was so excited after the triumph that he couldn’t help but drop a few f-bombs in an interview.
Speaking to Gabriel Clarke alongside goalkeeper Conor Hazard, he started off by saying “I f***ing love it”. ITV presenter Mark Pougatch was forced to issue an apology for the “industrious language” on display – though acknowledged that the reaction was somewhat understandable given what Katic and his team had just accomplished.
The former Rangers man has already become a huge hit with Plymouth fans after an imperious performance and fans loved the passion he displayed.
One fan on X said: “Nikola Katic was loaned to Plymouth in January, he’s already helped them keep a clean sheet to beat Liverpool and tell the TV cameras he ‘f***ing loved it’. What a man.”
A second said: “Loved that Gabriel Clarke was not interested in making apologies either!”
A third commented: “Nice to see the classic term ‘industrial language’ getting a mention.”
Plymouth are bottom of the Championship with just five victories this season but they rose to the occasion and Sunday and created a new piece of history.
