Supporters of Manchester United have observed what Raphael Varane did to Douglas Luiz after Scott McTominay’s thrilling victory over Aston Villa.

Man United made history on Sunday by defeating Villa 2-1 and cutting the deficit against Unai Emery’s team to five points.

In the seventeenth minute, Rasmus Hojlund opened the score, continuing his remarkable goal-scoring run.

Luiz gave Villa a point in the second half with a close-range goal that appeared to be directed at Andre Onana.

Luiz shrugged his shoulders towards the goalie, but it didn’t work out that way as Man United scored a late winner.

After coming on as Marcus Rashford’s replacement in the 73rd minute, Scott McTominay scored his team’s victory with a header from Diogo Dalot’s cross.

Following his retrieval of the ball, Varane addressed Luiz during the celebrations surrounding McTominay’s goal.

They exchanged words before match referee Robert Jones intervened.

Man United supporters took to social media to express their awareness of the altercation between the French defender and the Brazilian midfielder.

“Spotted that too, no f**king idea where this myth he’s only here for the money came from,” a user from X said. He adores United.

“Celebrating so smugly in front of Varane (for an equaliser no less) was so weird,” a second person tweeted. Similar to how Maupay acted in the same manner in front of Madison. In the end, they were both losing.”

“Luiz wasn’t shimmying then,” a third person said.

In their battle for Champions League qualifying, Man United emerged victorious at Villa Park, earning a valuable victory.

Erik ten Hag was questioned about Luiz’s celebration following the game.

“I’m not sure about my position on it. Not that I’ve talked to the players. The players may have been fueled by it. I’m not sure,” he remarked.

“We need to consider our strategy. Not about the resistance. Our constant desire is to rule and dominate the game. That ought to be how we go about things.”
