Man Utd fans have done a full 360 on one player after performance in Real Sociedad draw

United took the lead in the second half but could not hold on to it, with Mikel Oyarzabal scoring from the penalty spot after a Bruno Fernandes handball inside the area.
Sociedad applied late pressure on United’s defence but could not find the winner.
Ruben Amorim’s side did at least hold on to a draw to take back to Old Trafford, with the second leg of the last 16 contest being played next Thursday.
And there were aspects of United’s game that appeared sharper than in recent weeks, including chance creation – although their failure to make the most of those opportunities will no doubt disappoint their manager.
Sociedad themselves, though, missed a chance to win the game late on when substitute Orri Oskarsson poked the ball past Onana but wide of the post.
While the game was unfolding, United fans pointed out Joshua Zirkzee – who scored the opening goal in San Sebastian – as one of their star performers on the night.
And, just over two months since he was booed off the pitch after being substituted in the first half of his side’s 2-0 home defeat to Newcastle, United supporters now appear to have changed their minds on the Dutchman.
One wrote: “Joshua Zirkzee has been getting better and better recently especially with his all round play. Top finish in a big moment.”
A second added: “Joshua Zirkzee redemption is what we all Manchester United fans have been waiting for.”
A third said: “Zirkzee best attacker by a long way today again. Well deserved goal and a great finish!”
And a fourth wrote: “That’s why you play Joshua Zirkzee on the left … Zirkzee getting better by the game and getting some reward.”
