Transfer News LIVE: Stunning Late Twists Light Up the Summer Window

The transfer window has been thrown into chaos once again, with late drama involving Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool, and Chelsea dominating headlines as deadline day edges closer.

Arsenal hijack Spurs’ Eze deal

After Kai Havertz suffered a knee injury, Arsenal returned to the market and launched a dramatic late swoop for Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze. Spurs had already agreed terms with both Palace and the player, but the Gunners made their move at the last minute, convincing Eze to switch allegiances.

Eze will still feature for Palace tonight in their Conference League play-off against Fredrikstad, with manager Oliver Glasner confirming his place in the starting XI. A medical at Arsenal is expected Friday.

Liverpool chase Isak

Meanwhile, Liverpool are stepping up their pursuit of Alexander Isak. According to reports, the Reds are preparing a British record £130m bid for the Newcastle striker—£20m more than their opening offer earlier this month. There is even talk of Harvey Elliott being included in a part-exchange deal.

Liverpool also retain interest in Marc Guehi, though Palace are reluctant sellers.

Newcastle and Villa eye Jackson

With Newcastle chasing Brentford’s Yoane Wissa—a £35m plus add-ons bid has already been rejected—they and Aston Villa are also monitoring Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson. Chelsea may use any sale to fund moves for Alejandro Garnacho and Xavi Simons, while Christopher Nkunku could return to RB Leipzig.

Manchester United offered Rabiot

In France, turmoil at Marseille has led to Adrien Rabiot being transfer-listed after a fallout with teammates. His camp is now sounding out potential buyers, including Manchester United, though no concrete talks have taken place yet.

Chelsea exodus continues

Chelsea midfielder Renato Veiga has agreed a €30m move to Villarreal, becoming the club’s 11th senior departure of the summer. The 20-year-old Portuguese only joined last year but failed to establish himself. Villarreal have made him their record signing, tying him down to a seven-year deal.

Fulham activity

Fulham have received a bid from Coventry City for youngster Martial Godo and are weighing up an approach for Shakhtar’s latest Brazilian talent Kevin. Talks over a new contract for striker Rodrigo Muniz will follow once the window closes.

⚡ In summary: Arsenal have hijacked Spurs’ move for Eze, Liverpool are ready to smash records for Isak, Newcastle’s pursuit of Wissa has hit a setback, and Chelsea’s squad shake-up continues
