🏟️🚨Luis Diaz wanted Manchester City move in 2024: ‘We don’t sell to rivals’
Luis Diaz was keen on playing for Manchester City.
According to The Telegraph, Liverpool’s management learned in 2024 that the winger preferred a move to the Etihad.
A potential swap deal was floated, with Diaz going to City and Julian Alvarez moving the other way. However, the Manchester club immediately shut down the idea: “We don’t sell to rivals.”
As a result, Alvarez joined Atletico that summer, while Diaz moved to Bayern in 2025.
