FSG could be about to do something at Liverpool that they should have done two years ago

Since taking over as Liverpool’s manager in 2010, FSG has performed flawlessly. The American proprietors of the team had moved into Anfield during a turbulent period. The club was headed by Roy Hodgson; Hicks and Gillett had exhausted the Reds’ resources. This was undoubtedly the lowest point in the club’s history.

FSG contributed little by little to the reconstruction of the damaged foundations. The proprietors of the team discovered along the road what it meant to be the owners of one of the largest football clubs in the world through trial and error. And throughout the past few years, the Reds’ success in returning to the top of European football has been attributed to both FSG and Jurgen Klopp’s efforts.

When FSG first started their endeavour at the club, it was one of their wisest behind-the-scenes hires. FSG made the decision to name Michael Edwards as its principal analyst in 2011. He would later alter the club’s fundamentals.

The decision to fire him two years ago was one of the worst decisions FSG has ever made. The most recent reports, though, suggest that they might be ready to change that

FSG want to bring back Michael Edwards

Fabrizio Romano has stated that FSG is attempting to convince Michael Edwards to rejoin the team, as we have previously reported.

This would be a great move for Liverpool if that is the case. When the German took over the team, Edwards was instrumental in helping to restore Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool as sporting director. Important players like Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino were brought in by Edwards.

In the world of sports, he is widely recognised as the finest player. Above all, he is a supporter of Liverpool FC. In really, FSG ought to have prevented him from leaving Anfield in the first place.
