LIVERPOOL
Liverpool have now offered ‘special’ manager a contract until 2027 after positive talks
Xabi Alonso has now received a contract offer from Liverpool after productive negotiations with the 42-year-old.
That’s what TEAMtalk says.
What’s new with Liverpool and Xabi Alonso, then? Let’s examine this.
Xabi Alonso is offered a contract by Liverpool.
It was reported that Liverpool, having learned that the Spaniard would be open to taking over for Jurgen Klopp, was putting up a compensation package for Bayer Leverkusen.
TEAMtalk now claims that Alonso has received a contract offer.
The Tolosan guy reportedly received an offer for a three-year contract that would expire in 2027.
Any formal announcement, according to TEAMtalk, will come after Klopp departs Anfield. Alonso is adamant that he has what it takes to successfully continue the German’s tradition.
The Liverpool target is also being considered by Bayern Munich as a potential replacement for Thomas Tuchel, who is leaving at the end of the current campaign.
However, considering that he leads the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen, it is rumoured that Alonso would rather play a significant part in the Premier League and views Bayern Munich as a step back.
With 23 Bundesliga games played so far this season, the man who made 210 appearances for Liverpool has remarkably supervised 19 wins and four draws, moving Bayer Leverkusen eight points clear of Bayern Munich.
Bayern Munich refuse to give up
Although TEAMtalk’s exclusive analysis primarily bodes well for Liverpool, there is one area of concern.
According to the report, Bayern Munich is determined to sign Alonso, a Spanish strategist whom Claudio Pizarro referred to as “special,” and would not give up on him until the very last minute.
His management abilities are thought to have greatly pleased Bayern Munich, who are prepared to go above and beyond to sign him.
Watch this situation closely as Bayern Munich and Liverpool compete for Alonso’s services.
