Crystal Palace reportedly believe #LFC are the only club that might try to sign Marc Guehi in January, with the Eagles under the impression his European suitors would prefer to sign the England international on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of the season
💰 Jamie Carragher has warned #LFC could miss out on qualifying for the Champions League if they fail to sign a centre-back in January, as he urged them to move for both Marc Guehi and Antoine Semenyo.
🗣️ “Liverpool need to spend in January, they need to buy a centre-back, they should have bought a centre-back in the summer. They didn’t, and then the one centre-back they did buy, Leoni, a young Italian player, looked fantastic in the game that he played, a Carabao Cup game. Unfortunately, he got an ACL injury, so we won’t see him until next season. Liverpool are probably one injury away at centre-back from really derailing the season, so they have to go to the market in January.
🗣️ “That was a bad mistake [not signing Marc Guehi]. Liverpool are known as being really smart in the market, not overpaying and really good at selling. That could cost them. I think if Liverpool don’t sign a centre-back in January. I think they could (miss out on the Champions League).
🗣️ “If we’re being totally honest, in the games they’ve lost, they can’t handle the physicality of the Premier League this season, they can’t. When you think of teams that lack something, they normally let you down away from home against teams that have a physical game.

I just think more pace in the team and physicality and power.”
