An exciting new era for UEFA European club football awaits!

A thrilling transition in European club football is about to begin when the UEFA Champions League changes, beginning with the 2024–2025 season. Fans everywhere should expect even more drama and excitement from the redesigned format.
The group stage will now consist of 36 teams, with each club required to play a minimum of 10 group stage matches as opposed to the current six. This is one of the major changes. In addition, the conventional group stage structure will be replaced with a single league table, guaranteeing that every game counts towards the final rankings.

Moreover, the top eight teams from the league table will automatically qualify for the knockout stage, while teams finishing between ninth and 24th place will compete in playoffs to secure their spot in the round of 16.
The new UEFA Champions League era hopes to bring more excitement for fans around the world, more chances for clubs to show off their skill, and enhanced competitiveness. Prepare to see the beginning of an exciting new era in European football history!
