Two Liverpool players have expressed their dissatisfaction with Arne Slot following an ‘argument’ and subsequent snub.

After Liverpool’s recent draw against Sunderland, two players have voiced their ‘unhappiness’ regarding Arne Slot’s choices.

The 1-1 draw at home against Sunderland further indicates that the reigning Premier League champions are facing challenges. Two players have already shown their ‘unhappiness’ with Slot’s decision-making this season.

The Reds dropped two points against the Black Cats on Wednesday, having to come from behind after Chemsdine Talbi scored first at Anfield. An own goal by Nordi Mukiele equalized in the 81st minute, but Slot’s team failed to secure a second goal, leaving them in eighth place.

Mohamed Salah was left on the bench for the second consecutive match after not being used in Sunday’s 2-0 victory over West Ham. Slot disclosed that Salah expressed his disappointment upon learning he would not be included in the starting lineup against the Hammers.

“It’s a fair assumption and a normal reaction for someone who can contribute to our team,” Slot stated before Wednesday’s match against Sunderland. “Naturally, a player is unhappy when not playing; he wasn’t the only one, I assure you.”

The Dutch manager praised Salah for his professional demeanor despite being dropped from the starting eleven. Slot noted that Salah was “very supportive of his teammates and conducted himself admirably” despite his disappointment.

Federico Chiesa is another player who has felt the impact of Slot’s tough decisions, having been left out of Liverpool’s Champions League squad in September. The Italy international has made his displeasure known, although he acknowledged the reasoning behind his manager’s ‘argument.’

Chiesa has participated in 15 matches across all competitions this season, yet he has only managed to secure two starts, both occurring in the EFL Cup. He has contributed two goals and three assists for his efforts but will not be involved in Liverpool’s European endeavors for the moment.
