According to reports, Liverpool dispatched scouts to observe a player who may have a double deal in the works as well as a manager.

After announcing his departure in January, manager Jurgen Klopp will leave the Reds at the end of the 23–24 campaign.

Since then, Xabi Alonso, Roberto De Zerbi, Julian Nagelsmann, and Ange Postecoglou have all been connected to Liverpool.

Liverpool has dispatched scouts to monitor Sporting Lisbon, whose manager Ruben Amorim has also been connected to the soon-to-be-vacant Anfield position, according to reports from the Daily Mail.

According to the report, Liverpool scouts attended many Sporting games, including their cup victory against Benfica last Thursday.

In addition to Amorim, it’s been suggested that the scouts would have been closely monitoring Sporting defender Ousmane Diomande, who might end up becoming a future addition.

Since his January 2023 arrival from Midtjylland, the Ivorian has made a strong impression on the Portuguese team.

Diomande is thought to be valued at approximately £70 million by Sporting

Shortly after it was revealed that Klopp was leaving, Liverpool CEO Billy Hogan discussed the selection process for their next manager.

“From our perspective, I don’t want to set expectations because it’s a process we will go through,” the speaker stated.

As a football team, we make decisions by carefully examining all available data and information before acting. I am unable to schedule it; it will take place in the background. The goal is to keep the team and the campaign going, not to cause any distractions.

Hogan went on, “We will have something to say at that point when we have something to say.” The identical procedure that produced Jurgen will be used this time.
