Never say never’ – Man City star opens door to move to Saudi Arabia

England international and captain of Manchester City Kyle Walker was up about his thoughts on moving to Saudi Arabian football in a recent interview.

After pondering a summer transfer to Bayern Munich, the 33-year-old full-back almost left the Etihad Stadium, raising concerns about his future at Man City.

Walker ultimately made the decision to remain at Man City after Pep Guardiola and the team made compelling cases for his continued presence.

After Ilkay Gundogan departed the team to play for Barcelona, Walker was chosen as the new captain.

The right-back recently signed a new contract, but despite this, some people are still worried about his long-term prospects, and he appears open to the idea of quitting the European game.

Walker is open to Saudi move after Man City

While keeping open the prospect of a career in Saudi Arabia, he recently told listeners on the FIVE podcast that he still believes the Premier League is the best league in the world and the best place for players to compete.

I’ll never say never,” Walker responded. “The money that they’re paying and everything is obviously a massive factor in why they’re going out there. (Cristiano) Ronaldo opened the pathway for everyone to go there.”

He wants to keep playing for Man City right now

The City captain went on to say, “If they keep attracting the players they’re attracting the league will get better so why wouldn’t you want to go?” in reference to the future of Saudi Arabian football.

“But I want to compete in the Premier League for as long as possible and as high as possible because I think it’s the best league in the world.”

There are other City players connected to a move to Saudi Arabian football besides the 33-year-old full-back.

The Saudi teams are interested in his teammate Kevin De Bruyne and want to make a big offer to the Belgian midfield player.

Even Man City, who are extremely wealthy, cannot accept the money that the Middle Eastern clubs are offering.
