Throughout the years, Man United has fielded several outstanding players. Names that come to mind easily when discussing the Red Devils.

People from the elder generation will always remember people like Charlton, Law, and Best.

Among the many other luminaries from United’s Golden Era under Sir Alex Ferguson are Cantona, Giggs, Beckham, and others who will always stand out.

One player who has recently faded into obscurity is former custodian David de Gea.

After departing the team in the summer, the Spaniard has struggled to find new employment, and according to Mirror (via Fichajes), the custodian, who has 545 United appearances (transfermarkt) to his record, is now considering retirement.

At this point, it’s not conclusive because Estadio Deportivo (via Fichajes) is speculating that the Spaniard might make a spectacular comeback to Old Trafford.

In the event that that doesn’t work out, Fichajes speculates that de Gea would play next for Inter Miami, where he would team up with players like Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba.

Subject to any bids being confirmed, the keeper has almost the whole month of January to decide exactly what he wants to do. This gives him plenty of time to go over his options.
