According to recent rumours, Real Madrid is reportedly interested in Trent Alexander-Arnold, the right-back for Liverpool, as his contract is set to expire in 2025. There are only eighteen months left on his present contract, therefore talks about an extension have not yet begun. Real Madrid has taken notice of this issue and is apparently keeping a close eye on Alexander-Arnold’s future at Anfield.

Given that their current starter, Dani Carvajal, turned 32 years old in January of last year, the Spanish team views Alexander-Arnold as a possible long-term alternative for their right-back position. Real Madrid is considering a deal for Alexander-Arnold, taking advantage of his contract predicament, having seen the favourable timing.

Alexander-Arnold’s situation doesn’t seem to be an exception to Real Madrid’s habit of pressuring its targets to decline contract extensions. The team is aggressively attempting to convince Alphonso Davies, the left-back for Bayern Munich, to join them in addition to their pursuit of Kylian Mbappe. Apart from Real Madrid, there are also rumours that other teams are monitoring Alexander-Arnold’s circumstances at Liverpool.

But when asked in 2023 about Real Madrid’s interest, Alexander-Arnold had a lighthearted reaction. “They can buy me on FIFA,” he joked, taking a playful stance against the rumours circulating about his future in the football industry.
