Richards Keys drops Liverpool bombshell as inside ‘information’ about next manager search revealed

A major bombshell has been delivered by Richard Keys on the potential replacement for manager of Liverpool.
Xabi Alonso, manager of Bayer Leverkusen, has been nominated to succeed Jurgen Klopp, who announced he was leaving his position as manager of Liverpool at the end of the current campaign.
Former Liverpool star Alonso has guided Leverkusen to an undefeated season in all competitions this year, and his team currently leads Bayern Munich by almost 10 points in the Bundesliga.
But according to Sky Germany last weekend, Alonso appeared ready to turn down offers from Bayern, who will also have a managerial vacancy at the end of the season, and from Liverpool in order to stay on at Leverkusen for an additional year.
The article also stated that Alonso would rather play for Bayern than Liverpool, even if he were to leave. According to the report, the Merseyside club would instead focus on Sporting CP manager Ruben Amorim.
Keys, a presenter for beIN Sports and a former anchor at Sky Sports, has heard something else, stating that Alonso has already chosen Liverpool.
Writing in his blog Keys said: “Deschamps? Yes. Zidane? Yes. I was laughed out of court at the back end of last year when I said they should go and get Alonso – agree a deal with his ‘people’ and guarantee him five years to get it right..

“My detractors responded, ‘No. How has he behaved? It’s too soon. Really? After three months, it’s not too soon for Liverpool to have convinced him to take over as manager. When I deliver news like this, I always stress that these major deals may always go wrong. When they’re blue riband, everything can go wrong, whether it’s with a player, coach, or manager, but from what I hear, Alonso has chosen Liverpool.
“If I’m a Liverpool fan – that excites me. What United have got to do is better that appointment. Would Southgate turning up at OT do that?”
