Blockbuster deal signals that Mo Salah may be leaving Liverpool.
Mo Salah had a fantastic all-around game against Newcastle on Monday night, writing his name all over Liverpool’s 4-2 victory with two goals and an assist.
The supporters at Anfield were treated to another thrilling 90 minutes from the Egyptian King, though there may not be very many more to come.
There’s no question that they will make another move, either in this window or the next, even though the transition to the Saudi Pro League has stalled.
On the surface, it seems obvious that Jurgen Klopp would be reluctant to lose his lucky striker, but Salah would be 32 years old at the beginning of the 2024–2025 season, and the club would undoubtedly find it difficult to reject an offer that exceeds £100 million.
Moreover, as Le Parisien points out, the Reds continue to suggest themselves as Kylian Mbappe’s next destination, and Liverpool can only close that deal by cutting Salah’s salary.
The French World Cup winner is only 25 years old, so it’s unlikely that he has played to his full potential yet, which scares any team that plays against him.
Naturally, Real Madrid is quite prominent, and the wise choice would still be for Mbappe to transfer to the Santiago Bernabeu.
The player remains mute throughout, but Liverpool still has a chance.
