Jurgen Klopp has coined the perfect name for Dominik Szoboszlai’s new midfield role.

On Sunday afternoon, Liverpool reclaimed the top spot in the Premier League by overcoming a goal deficit to defeat Brighton and Hove Albion 2-1 at Anfield.

Goals from Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah were sufficient to nullify Danny Welbeck’s impressive opening goal.

Due to the 0-0 draw between Arsenal and Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, Liverpool now leads Arsenal by two points and Manchester City by three points.

In Liverpool’s decisive goal, Hungarian midfielder Szoboszlai played a crucial role by passing to Alexis Mac Allister, who skillfully assisted Salah in scoring in the penalty area.

Following the game, Liverpool’s manager Klopp referred to Szoboszlai as his ‘chaos creator’.

Klopp elaborated, stating: “Wataru and Macca were positioned perfectly, and Dom was the unexpected element, the disruptor, the instigator of chaos. And it worked brilliantly. They had possession, but not the control they desired, which played into our hands.”

He continued, praising the team’s defensive performance:

Szoboszlai faced criticism from former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher, who commented during Sky Sports’ coverage: “Liverpool could benefit from more contribution from Szoboszlai. He had a strong start to his Liverpool career but has been sidelined with injuries. There’s undeniable talent, but as we reach the crucial stage of the season, big performances will be crucial.”

Liverpool will return to Premier League action on Thursday night, hosting relegation-threatened Sheffield United at Anfield.
