Liverpool fans blast Jurgen Klopp decision after defeat to Everton in Merseyside derby

Liverpool fans expressed their frustration over a decision made by Jurgen Klopp during the team’s surprising 2-0 loss to rivals Everton in the Merseyside derby on Wednesday.

Despite dominating possession, Liverpool failed to find the back of the net, while goals from Jarrod Branthwaite and Dominic Calvert-Lewin secured victory for Everton.

Despite missing Diogo Jota and Cody Gakpo, Klopp’s decision not to include Ryan Gravenberch, who had impressed in the previous match against Fulham, among the substitutes raised eyebrows.

Gravenberch’s absence was particularly notable given his goal-scoring contribution and strong display against Fulham just days prior.

Another added: “Ryan Gravenberch scored a goal in the last game but Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott got first dibs. This is how we lost out on so many other major titles with Klopp.”

Liverpool’s recent Premier League form has hit a stumbling block, with two defeats in their last three matches. Their latest setback, a loss in the Merseyside derby against Everton at Goodison Park, marked their first defeat in the fixture at that venue since 2010.
