Wayne Rooney immediately calls out Virgil van Dijk after Sky Sports post-match interview

Wayne Rooney wasted no time in confronting Liverpool skipper Virgil van Dijk after his interview following the 2-0 loss to Everton.
Liverpool’s defeat, marked by goals from Jarrod Branthwaite and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, was their first at Goodison Park in over a decade.
Jurgen Klopp’s team put on a lackluster display, prompting Van Dijk to once again express dissatisfaction with their performance and their setback in the title race.
Many noticed Van Dijk’s subtle jab when he mentioned, “It’s time to focus on the 12:30 kick-off again,” alluding to Liverpool’s upcoming match against West Ham. Klopp has frequently complained about early kick-off times and TV broadcasters in past interviews.
However, Manchester United icon Wayne Rooney, serving as a pundit on Sky Sports, felt compelled to respond to Van Dijk’s comments. The 38-year-old didn’t mince words, admonishing Van Dijk by saying, “That Liverpool team should be eager to be back on the pitch tomorrow.”

“I think the worrying thing there – and I think it’s happened a lot throughout the season as well
“He’s the captain and he’s talking about Liverpool getting outfought but again we’re hearing about 12:30 kick-offs after he’s just lost a derby.
“That Liverpool team should be wanting to be on the pitch tomorrow morning to get the next game going.
“When you lose a game, especially a derby game, you want the next game to come quick.
“We’ve heard it so many times this season with Liverpool about 12:30 kick-offs.
“Get on with it! That’s part of your job! Get on with it and you should be ready to play.”
Liverpool has four league matches left, starting with the West Ham game, followed by fixtures against Spurs, Aston Villa, and Wolves.
They currently trail league leaders Arsenal by three points and are one point ahead of Manchester City, who have two games in hand.
