Liverpool ‘make decision’ on selling Darwin Nunez after he deletes Instagram posts about club

Darwin Nunez deleted Liverpool-related pictures from his Instagram account.
Liverpool has reportedly reached a decision regarding Darwin Nunez following his recent activity on social media.
After Liverpool’s convincing 4-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, Nunez faced criticism once again for his disappointing performance as a substitute. Despite being brought on for Luis Diaz with 15 minutes remaining, Nunez failed to make a positive impact on the game.
He missed a late one-on-one opportunity and was also caught offside when setting up Mohamed Salah for a potential goal. Furthermore, Nunez deleted all Liverpool-related pictures from his Instagram account on Sunday night, sparking speculation about his future at Anfield.
However, reports suggest that Liverpool is not ready to give up on Nunez just yet. According to the Daily Mail, the club is not inclined to part ways with the 24-year-old, whom they acquired two years ago. The report emphasizes that Liverpool would struggle to recoup the substantial fee they paid for Nunez’s transfer from Benfica, which could amount to £85 million. Therefore, there is no indication that Liverpool intends to part with Nunez despite recent speculation about his future.

In March, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp commented on Nunez’s abilities, stating that the player possesses an abundance of quality.
He said: “He had absolutely more than an OK first season but he had to adapt, that’s done, and he is settled in the middle of the team.
“He loves to play for this team together with these boys and has quality coming out of his ears, to be honest.”
Klopp added: “Is he at his absolute peak in general? Not now for us. But can he develop? Yes. Is he a threat all the time? Yes.”
Throughout this season, Nunez has achieved an impressive record of 18 goals and 13 assists in 52 appearances across all competitions for Liverpool.
