The explanation behind Borussia Dortmund’s U-turn on re-signing Jadon Sancho with a “imminent” Man Utd loan

It’s now known why Borussia Dortmund decided against re-signing Jadon Sancho from Manchester United.
Dortmund and United are reportedly in negotiations over a straight loan deal for Sancho, which would see the England winger return to Signal Iduna Park until the end of the season, according to Sky Sports Germany.
Dortmund ideally wants to finalise the transfer before their forthcoming training camp in Marbella, which starts next week, according to Sky Sports News reporter Dharmesh Sheth.
After United’s 3-1 loss to Arsenal on September 5, Sancho and manager Erik ten Hag got into a public argument. Since then, the player hasn’t been included in a matchday squad for United for four months.
Barcelona was also connected to signing him, while the Saudi Pro League and Serie A clubs have also expressed interest in him.
However, there was no sign that Dortmund would make a bid for their former player, who had a stellar first stint at the team, scoring 50 goals in 137 games across all competitions.
Nevertheless, the German team lost all six of their games in December, and even though club executives gave manager Edin Terzic the vote of confidence, they felt that more changes were necessary.

It’s unclear if Sancho can regain that form if he does return to Dortmund, especially considering how long he was banished from United.
However, Old Trafford officials will closely monitor his development, especially since any accomplishment would increase his market worth in advance of an expected summer transfer.
