Reports have disclosed that the English club Arsenal is looking to acquire Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin during the upcoming transfer window.

According to Defensa Central, Arsenal is interested in bringing in Andriy Lunin due to the strong performance he has shown with the Blanco this season.

The network mentioned that Arsenal is aware of Real Madrid’s intention to extend Lunin’s contract, which is set to expire in the summer of 2025, particularly following his excellent showing in the Champions League. Defensa Central further noted that the English club is prepared to offer 20 million euros for Real Madrid to part with the goalkeeper, while also doubling his annual salary to 7 million euros.

Additionally, the network highlighted that the goalkeeper is now more inclined to leave Real Madrid than to stay, despite having a historic season with the club. His lack of participation in the Champions League final, where Ancelotti favored Belgian goalkeeper Courtois, has contributed to this sentiment.

From Arsenal’s perspective, coach Mikel Arteta views Lunin as a key target for the summer transfer window, with the London team eager to secure his services. Real Madrid president Perez is reportedly open to Lunin’s departure, especially after his inconsistent performance with the Ukraine national team in Euro 2024.
