Casemiro was awarded a straight red card against Southampton on Sunday as a result of a VAR review, which led to his second dismissal of 2023.
Referee Anthony Taylor first showed the Manchester United midfielder a yellow card for a foul on Carlos Alcaraz.
However, following many playsback of the event on a pitchside monitor, Taylor chose to bench Casemiro for irresponsible play.
Casemiro’s lunging challenge had seen him go over the ball and catch Alcaraz high on his ankle.
After receiving his second EPL red card of 2023 in a Southampton stalemate, Casemiro was given a four-game ban.
