Guardiola and City star Rodri have previously expressed concerns about the effects of such packed schedules on player welfare and the increased risk of injury. The busy workload of City’s players was highlighted by a photo defender Ruben Dias posted on X on Wednesday evening.

The Portuguese defender shared a picture of a presentation slide displaying City’s fixture schedule for the season, with the caption: “POV: You play for City [sweating emoji].”

While fans understood Dias’ message, they also noticed a significant mistake on City’s schedule.

The schedule lists the Community Shield match against United as occurring on Sunday, August 11, but it is actually set for Saturday, August 10.

Fans also noted that, oddly, Europa League and Conference League match-days were included on the schedule, even though City will be participating in the Champions League for the 14th consecutive season.

Hopefully, City recognizes that the United match is on Saturday, not Sunday…
