Superstar leaves Liverpool to join this Premier League team

Brentford has agreed with Liverpool to sign Fabio Carvalho, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. This move occurs during a relatively quiet summer for Liverpool’s new manager, Arne Slot, who has yet to make any signings despite ongoing attempts to acquire Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi.

Carvalho’s exit marks a shift for the young midfielder, who had shown potential during Liverpool’s pre-season tour in the U.S. Despite his strong performances, Slot will now have one fewer player in his squad as Carvalho embarks on a new chapter with Brentford.

The midfielder, who joined Liverpool from Fulham for £5 million in 2022, spent the previous season on loan at RB Leipzig and Hull City. During his time with Hull, the 21-year-old scored nine goals, contributing to a solid campaign for the team, although they narrowly missed the playoffs. Now, he is ready for a new challenge in London.

Carvalho had attracted interest from multiple clubs, including newly-promoted Southampton, whose bid was rejected, and Leicester City. However, Romano reported that Brentford has secured his signature.

Romano announced on X.com, saying, “Fabio Carvalho to Brentford, here we go! Liverpool has agreed to sell Carvalho on a permanent deal. The fee is reportedly £20 million, with additional add-ons. Carvalho has agreed to the terms and will soon undergo medical tests at Brentford.”
