Arsenal is reportedly eyeing a surprising move for Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman. According to recent updates from Football Insider, the Gunners are exploring the possibility of securing the Frenchman on a season-long loan. Although Bayern seems open to letting him depart from the Allianz Arena this summer, they would demand an option or obligation to buy as part of the deal.

Sources suggest that the 28-year-old is interested in joining the Emirates but would require assurances regarding his playing time.

Coman is among several wide forwards being considered by Arsenal as manager Mikel Arteta seeks to strengthen the squad in this area, particularly to provide support for England international Bukayo Saka.

The news of Coman’s potential availability has attracted the attention of numerous clubs across Europe, with many closely monitoring his situation as they consider late moves, according to Insider correspondent Pete O’Rourke.

Should Arsenal decide to pursue Coman, they will likely face strong competition from some of the continent’s top clubs, all eager to secure his signature.

The report also mentions that Bayern Munich would expect a fee in the range of €30-40 million (£25.6m-£34.2m) for any option or obligation to buy included in a loan deal.

Coman joined Bayern from Juventus in 2017, having previously spent two seasons on loan with the club before making his move permanent.

Since then, he has made nearly 300 appearances for Bayern, contributing 63 goals and 66 assists. His extensive experience includes winning a Champions League title, a Club World Cup winner’s medal, and 26 additional domestic trophies across Germany, Italy, and France.

Adding Coman to Arsenal’s roster would bring considerable experience to a relatively young squad, but the winger may hesitate if his main concern is playing time.

After being limited to just 27 matches last season, Coman might be wary of competing for a spot on the right wing with Saka, who has established himself as a dominant force in that position. Thus, while a move to the Premier League could be tempting, the realities of Arsenal’s squad dynamics could complicate his decision.
