Title-winning winger’s agent said he would “agree” to join Man City, giving them tremendous motivation to sign him.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s agent from Napoli has disclosed that Manchester City is one of the four teams Khvicha Kvaratskhelia will sign with.

In his first season with Napoli, Kvaratskhelia turned heads throughout Serie A and helped the team win a remarkable league championship.

Even though Napoli’s Scudetto defence hasn’t been as strong as it could be, the Georgia international attracted the attention of numerous large teams during that process and has had some influence this season as well.

Kvaratskhelia is still bound by the same deal he signed when he joined Napoli in 2022, despite constant talk of a renewal.

It will probably be renovated eventually, but at 22 years old, he still has plenty of time to go for a team that has more long-term success.

Kvaratskhelia has now been disqualified by his agent Mamuka Jugeli for pursuing the money to Saudi Arabia.

Jugeli did, however, imply that Kvaratskhelia would approve any move made by Manchester City for his client.

Jugeli stated to 1TV Sport Georgia, “[Victor] Osimhen’s contract was increased by Napoli, but Khvicha wouldn’t accept a transfer to Saudi even if he was offered a billion euros.”

He would most likely consent to play for Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, or Manchester City, for instance.

“Khvicha has different aspirations and objectives; he wants to succeed and has already done so.”

Kvaratskhelia will pique people’s curiosity broadly

Jugeli has intimated that if a race to sign Kvaratskhelia emerged, Man City would probably face opposition.

In 68 Napoli games, he has contributed 41 goals, demonstrating his versatility as a goal scorer and provider.

The 28-cap, 15-goal Georgian international usually plays left wing, taking over for Lorenzo Insigne at Napoli in that capacity.

Kvaratskhelia will have to wait and see which teams would be willing to target him in exchange for strengthening that position.

Luckily for the former Rubin Kazan player, sources revealed to TEAMtalk last year that Man City and a few other suitors were genuinely interested in him.

And as Man City went on, it was reported a few months later that the other three teams he might see himself at were also keeping an eye on him.

It will be fascinating to see if Man City is the only Premier League team that he would consider joining, or if he is more open-minded, as other clubs have also expressed interest in signing him.

In actuality, it appears doubtful that Kvaratskhelia will be traded during the January transfer window, especially since Napoli has formally extended his contract through 2027.

For now, he will continue focusing on his form with his current employers, who have nurtured him from a talented but lesser-known prospect into a player of more visible world-class potential.
